FILM & VIDEO: VIDEO ART SELECTION ▪ Wednesday, March 7, 6:30 pm - 8:30 pmPresented in conjunction with The Disappeared (Los Desaparecidos) , this video art program showcases:
"Anthology" Clemente Padín´s historical videoperformances, will also be screened. Padín's series refers to the torture and repression during the period of Uruguayan military repression in the second half of the twentieth century.

"Violence/Violencia" the work of 10 Argentinean video artists whose works reference the former dictatorship and a fragmented society trying to rebuild itself. Graciela Taquini, Multimedia Curator, Centro Cultural General San Martín, and curator of this selection, believes the topic of violence is a dead weight that travels across Argentinean art and history from the time of the Conquest.
After the screenings join Graciela Taquini and Elvis Fuentes , El Museo's Associate Curator for a Q&A session. Come early and see The Disappeared (Los Desaparecidos), galleries will be open until 6:30 pm . Admission: Free. For advance registration e-mail
